For the 2017 session of Nevada Boys State, the city of Osgood won Honor City after a fun and challenging week. Throughout the program, the city was led by Mayor Holden Smith (Las Vegas Academy). The city was particularly proud of the way they bonded throughout the week and came together to form strategies to tackle challenges, scenarios, and crises. Osgood went undefeated in athletics and quiz bowl, and its citizens secured important positions including both Party Chairs, Secretary of State, two Supreme Court Justices, the Best Lobbyist award, and a clean sweep of the Assembly leadership positions (Speaker of the Assembly, Assembly Majority Leader, and Assembly Minority Leader). The counselors for Osgood were Zachary Heit (Senior Counselor), Justin Quibell (Junior Counselor), Tyson Gierhart (First Year Counselor), and Andrew Brooksbank (First Year Counselor).
